And we have tried many . No soaking overnight etc. I do prepare it ahead of time though quoting everything and mixing together the wet ingredients then I assemble it in the morning. We all love the strusel never had one with strusel before. And I’m pretty sure we could modify the fruit and cream cheese into this this same recipe.
